An Ideal Space by Kota Abe
This project is about a segregated urban space in a contemporary city.
The photo-documentary book is showing the comparison between same kinds of space in Canary Wharf and Bethnal Green. A page has a image of Canary Wharf on the above and one of Bethnal on the bottom, and the blank space is highlighted with pure white paint (even though it is invisible in the pics), which shows the separation of the spaces and suggests integration.
Another piece for the project is the poster promotion at the platform of the Canary Wharf tube station.
The combination of a billboard poster and platform edge doors reveals the problem of the segregated situation in Canary Wharf.
