A series of illustrations exploring the current food promotion tactics used in advertising today. Printed on bone china plates and mugs, the exterior illustrations echoes the earthy, organic image conjured up by the lengthy descriptions found on luxury food packaging - romantic depictions of rural farms in Britain, a cascade of feathers suggestive of healthy chickens, hand picked tea leaves in exotic locations. 

The interior illustrations highlight other aspects involved in food production that often goes unmentioned in both luxury and economy foods - child labour, poor animal living conditions, factory workers. Not all of this is a criticism - some a light jab at the overly rosy, highly sensational language used in current marketing trends. 

The illustrations were printed on separate surfaces of the ceramics to echo this relationship that we have with our image of food and its origins.
